Leaf jumpin'

Each Fall, Boo and Licious wait for every last leaf to fall off the big Sugar Maple tree so they can do this . . .

I think the blue birds wait for every leaf to fall too. They hate competing with the fiery red display of autumnal splendor. Show offs.

  3. Fun! My girls may be doing that today, it has been really windy and all the leaves from the 100 year old trees across the street blew into our yard.

  10. Love the bluebirds, so good to have around the garden. Have you ever noticed how those that were born in a bluebird house will stay there for the winter too w/parents and siblings. A pair of parents might have 3 sets of babies and then all of them with stay in the same house for winter. For real.

  23. I can't wait until our trees get big and have lots of leaves so our future wee-ones can romp and have fun in them. Right now they are MAYBE 7 ft tall with MAYBE one walmart bag full of leaves each. :(

Those bluebirds are gorgeous! So pretty!
