Latest quilt

My quilt is back from my long arm quilter Russ and I'm over the moon in love with it.

Late last summer I designed some fabric and had it printed at Spoonflower. I've decided that every quilt I make in 2009 will have a bit of it on the back. Then each year I'll design a new fabric so as to identify the year I made it. Know what I'm sayin'?

I've got a series of fabric in my head to design . . . if I could only figure out how to make the seamless repeat on it. Unfortunately, that is at the way, way bottom of my to-do list.

  2. What a great idea to chronicle your work! Brilliant.
The quilt is every bit of over the moon. I need 'Dana' lessons. I did find the pattern I am going to use for my first quilt attempt since acquiring my sewing machine. I can't wait.

  6. That is amazing. I just made my second quilt, and decided I would never do it again. And it was baby sized.

  23. What a cool thing to do--print your own fabric design! I've never heard of them before. Thanks for sharing that.

And a terrific idea about chronicling. Should, God forbid, anything of yours ever be stolen, it would be a cinch to identify it and reclaim it.
