Woodsy

I have a thing for woodsy things. Think acorns, owls and deer.

And wild mushrooms.

What is it about these mysterious little fungi?

I find them so dang cute. And not just in nature either. I have a small collection of mushroom fabric waiting to be made into something.

Aaacccckkkk!!! My most favoritest mushroom is the red capped one with white spots. And I was lucky enough to see one this weekend.

I'm a simple girl really.

  5. Those pictures are great. Is is strange that I've never seen a _real_ red and white mushroom before? I think that I assumed they were just made up for cartoons (no idea why).
Enjoy your nature walk and your fabric :)

  10. I grew up with what I though at the time was the ugliest mushroom wallpaper in our diningroom with plastic mushroom decorations hanging on the wall.My mom loved it. Now days I look back very fondly on all thinks mushroom. Isn't that funny how our perspectives can change over the years?

Your mushroom pictures are very beautiful.

  15. I thought those red and white ones were imaginary! Then again, here in SoCal, it's never wet enough for mushrooms to grow. Thanks for sharing yours.
