Scrap management

Last year I started making an effort an organizing all my fabric scraps.

And that method has been very useful for me.

But recently I received a little note in the mail from my friend Amy, and it inspired me.

It inspired me so much that I made my own. And I think these will be good anytime of the year . . . especially for Valentine's Day.

Too bad I really suck at formal written correspondence.

What a great idea! I can't wait to make some. Formal written correspondence may have to make a comeback!

These are so cute. I guess I should stop tossing scraps from my scraps because I think they are too small. I just love these.

Those are beautiful! A wonderful scrap idea. Not so good at written correspondence either. Just at bill paying.

Ooh I'm going to try this with all my itty bitty scraps! I love receiving cards so I'm trying to make an effort to sending out more.

oh, I love these too now that I've seen them all over the web. However, just like you, I'm horrible at formal correspondence. Maybe this will help me improve.

Those cards are so fun! I sewed my Christmas cards this year - it was so simple, I used up a bunch of scraps and they turned out cute.

With cards that cute all you would have to do is sign your name...oh, but then the stamps and the envelopes and the post office. Nevermind.

I know snail mail is a pain......but it is a great skill to develop with
your girls. I use to sit with my kids for hours and we would write thank you notes, Valentines, make Christmas cards...great fun!
And who does not like to get a piece of personal mail???

Happy Sewing (and writing)

You should sell them if you're too disinclined to correspond. :-) They're really beautiful, Dana.

These are so fantastic! I have trouble throwing away even the tiniest scrap of fabric, and have been feeling the need to reach out to some of my friends lately, so this absolutely warms my heart! I hope you don't mind if I copy your (and Amy's) idea!
