New room

I don't have many before shots of this room.  Probably because it was my least favorite room in the house.  Crappy floors.  Crappy ceiling.  Or as I always said, the forgotten-step-child-addition-that-matches-nothing-else-in-our-1950s-farmhouse room. (Though these from last year give you an idea of what it was like.)

Well, honey!  I'm here to tell you all that has changed!

I've got a ceiling that matches every other ceiling in my house!

The most glorious wood floor!

Everything trimmed out the exact way the rest of my house is trimmed!

And a killer shade of gray on the walls!

Now if all that pesky oil based poly on the floor would hurry up and dry we could move back in.

  7. The floors are beautiful, and a shade of gray on the walls is such a great choice. My last house had those colors, and I never tired of them, and everything looks good with that as a background. How exciting!

  8. That looks so gorgeous! I love it! I'm dreaming of a wood floor just like that, but I'm afraid our Doberman would immediately ruin it. Maybe when he's old and no longer runs laps we can get one....

    Congratulations, my friend!

  11. It's gorgeous!

And I must say, I've never been one for wanting or having quilts on my walls. I don't even know why, they have just never appealed to me personally, in my house or with my decor. BUT I will say that I think my mind has changed now that I see your beautiful quilt hanging on that wall. It looks SO AWESOME!! The colors, the size, absolutely everything!

Great....now I'm going to redecorate my whole house to accommodate a quilt hanging on a wall. Thanks...thanks a lot, Dana! ;)

Hope it is not as humid there as it is here so the floor dries quick.
