The season. December. Winter. Christmas. The Santa mugs are on the kitchen window sill.
Pretty stained glass wreaths suspend in front of windows.
Vintage ornaments fill glass jars.
And our tree is trimmed with handmade ornaments from years past.
Our house is warm and cozy. The weather cold. The date on the calender approaching school break. Each of these things is a favorite. I usher in December with glee.
As I washed dishes the other night and looked up to notice these two outside doing a synchronized dance, December was completely summarized in that moment.

ReplyDeleteI'm still trying to re-home a snowman teapot to you. ;) The one that scares the girl in this house. lol
Dancing viewed through a window, wonderful.

May the rest of the month be just as good as these past few days/weeks.

Your home looks so festive and I love those pictures of your beautiful girls that include your reflection x
ReplyDeleteSeasonal highs that have nothing to do with the temperature...love that!
ReplyDeleteYou know how people have those calendars with inspirational uplifting phrases on them for each day? Well that's what your blog posts are for me. You just lifted my spirits. December is a rough month for me and you just made today a lot better.
ReplyDeletesuch great moments. I have a huge collection of santa mugs and yours are lovely! Mine always makes me smile. I even have the one from when I was a little girl that my mom saved for me.
ReplyDeleteMust bring a smile to your face to see your girls do stuff like that. My kids haven't quite gotten to that point where they can do stuff together and one of them, the youngest, not get hurt. Their game last night was "tackle". It didn't end well.
ReplyDeleteLove your stained glass wreath. Not much is better than the joy and love shared at Christmas
ReplyDeleteI'm drooling over the vintage goodness in your photos!! Merry Christmas! :D
