The thing about long haired dachshunds...

...is that a hike in the woods means having to cut out all the things they dragged home in their fur.  And being so close to the ground means lots and lots of things.

  3. My little man, a Westie has very short legs too, a walk anywhere is likely to involve "stuff" stuck to his undercarriage. LOL

  5. I wonder if 'he' is wondering why 'he' always follows along when this always happens. :)

  6. Oh that is my world too. Baby, aka the little white dog is a weed/stick catcher, and the big dog occasionally does it too. And he's tall. The love of feathery dogs catching all the goodies they then dislike having taken out.

Does that little one also gather snow in those lovely feathers?

Waiting for LWD to bring in snowballs on her fur.

  7. Ah, but does he bring in baby slugs??? Our bichon does; all that slime just sticks to her hair! They must be cut out as well. Ah, slugs are just a part of living in the Pacific Northwest.

  8. Well, Dana, you could just carry the poor dog during the hike and avoid the "things being dragged home" trauma. ;) Cute dog!

  11. Sounds like my two Scotties. I call them my velcro dogs. They bring leaves and twigs and lots of stuff inside. I vacuum lots!!! So worth it though, don't you think?
