I found this old chalk board at a thrift store the other day. I bought it cause it was cool. Not because I had a plan for it.
But after bringing it home I discovered that it fits perfectly on the side of a kitchen cabinet.
And the old worn oak blends beautifully with our oak counter tops.
Now I want to draw something great on it. Maybe a quote? Maybe rules of the house? Or kitchen? Or something catchy? Funny?
I need suggestions! What should I draw on the chalk board?
Thanks,
dana
P.S. I plan on buying
these to write on the board.
How serendipitous! It looks beautiful and that pen is genius (I am often covered in chalk!!). Draw or write something that will make you smile!

Very cool indeed Dana! I'll keep my eye open for something good to put on there for you.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the pen link. Those are pretty awesome also!
Hope you have a beautiful weekend with your family!

ReplyDeleteI think it would be fun to have one person each week in charge of it: a picture, a quote, a mention of something fun that's happening that week. But if it were me I'd probably write reminders on it. And then no one would ever look at it. I'd stick with something fun and happy
ReplyDeleteOh, coooool!
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day to one of the grooviest moms around! Have fun ♥♡
I like Lynn's idea of having everyone take turns writing something on the board. Inspirational, or funny, or just fun.
ReplyDeleteI haven't found neat stuff at a thrift store like I see others do in blogland. Maybe we just don't have neat stuff where I live? Great find!
ReplyDeleteWow! That board looks like it's found its perfect home. Maybe do a weekly menu on it. I have a weekly menu on a marker board, but I'm not that great at meal planning. I've often contemplated listing impressive-sounding menu items to impress visitors to my home. Only the household inhabitants will know that we actually went to Chick-fil-A, followed by the sub shop, ordered pizza, and then got take-out from the Thai food place...
ReplyDeleteSearch chalkboard quotes on Pinterest and you will get some fabulous ideas! I look at them regularly and think about getting a chalkboard for my office. Maybe I still will!
ReplyDeleteGreat find! Love chalkboards and quotes so whats not to love here. Agree with doing a search for inspirational quotes or quote of the day and you'll get tons!

When one door of happiness closes, another opens, but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one that has been opened for us. –Helen Keller
There is only one way to avoid criticism: do nothing, say nothing, and be nothing. –Aristotle
Family means a lot to you...here's a quote you may like from Michael J. Fox:
