As a photographer, I am always a bit frustrated when folks right-click and use my copyrighted material. Yes, I know I should be flattered --- but I make money selling the photographs, not giving them away.

Yes, you did say that the cow photo was not yours. But if you open the image in Photoshop (or similar) and look at the embedded information (what's called EXIF/IPTC information) you'd see that the photograph is copyrighted by Chris George of the Guernsey Press.

You might want to contact them and ask for permission to use the image on your blog. My guess is that they would say "yes" as you're not using the image commercially.

I don't want to be an old man, adding a discordant note to a happy blog --- so feel free to delete this comment.

Mooooo!

CraigCraig Walshhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00185040556542999758noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8909051016007644645.post-14709711407027000532008-04-05T17:39:00.000-04:002008-04-05T17:39:00.000-04:00Greetings from the island of Guernsey original hom...Greetings from the island of Guernsey original home of the Guernsey Cow!

The picture of the cow has been taken in Guernsey at L'ancress Common. I can tell by the Martello Tower in background.

My family used to keep Guernsey Cows on our old farm, but alas no more.

Glad that the old Guern is doing well overseas :-)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8909051016007644645.post-81617535071450048372008-03-16T12:29:00.000-04:002008-03-16T12:29:00.000-04:00Dana,There is nothing like milk straight from the ...Dana,

There is nothing like milk straight from the cow. They are selling it here in Ontario too, but there is a huge protest by the dairies and the government. It's about time the farmer's started getting the money for their work instead of third parties.

Glad you found a place to buy it.
