Whew. My heart is still beating fast. And yes, I'm still a little sweaty. Thank you very much. But I would like to say how much fun I've had with the entire quilt along. The community that has formed over on the Flickr group is supportive, encouraging, outrageously funny and one that I hope will keep on creating and sharing. Thanks to each and every one of you for inspiring me. For sharing your creativity. And for keeping me up till way past my bedtime every night for 7 weeks.

ReplyDeleteThanks, Dana, for putting this quilt-along together for us. It has inspired me to make my first quilt. I'm still behind, but am ready to work on my second scrap-piece pillow top to practice my machine quilting. Then on to the real thing. I would have loved to win the machine, as my singer does not like free motion work at all. Therefore I am planning a design that relies on relatively straight lines for my quilting.
I look forward to posting my completed quilt once it is done. I would love another quilt along, as it has really helped me gain confidence that I can do this. (and having a time line has helped me be closer to done than I expected at this point, lol).

I have been piecing tops for about ten years and never had the courage to quilt one until your quilt along I was always afraid that I would screw up all my hard work. I will not be afraid to quilt my quilts anymore but I will probably still send out my larger or special quilts because Christine does a wonderful job and has so many great quilting designs.
