The great remodel-the-bathroom-that-you've-lived-with-for-twelve-years project has begun!
This is the same shot after demo. And with some new electric already run!
This is directly across from the sunflower cabinet we were just talking about. It's also where the new shower will be.
Above is still the where shower will be but panned slightly to the left. You can see the soon to be installed tile stacked there in our bedroom.
There will be lots of pictures as the process moves along. Like photos of said tile. Of the vintage commercial laundry sink that is becoming the centerpiece of the room. That and the handcrafted sink base, countertop and cabinets made from 100+ year old barn wood. And the salvaged pine tongue and grove boards that will become the walls (which match the rest of our house!) And the galvanized lighting fixtures that are meant for barn lighting.
It's gonna be good. And you'll be hearing lots more about it.

That sounds like it is going to be AWESOME! I can't wait to follow along with your progress.
Beyond excited for you! SQUEAL!!! : )
I need to get on the ball because we need to do this too (although we are hiring out the work!) - thanks for sharing pictures :)
I can't wait to see it happening.
Looking forward to hearing/seeing your bathroom renovation! Sounds like it will be spectacular!
I can't wait to see the sink and light fixture!!! We are in the baby steps of remodeling the kitchen and one very small 1/2 bath. I've already decided I want a barn type light in the bath. As for the kitchen we are still on the hunt for the old fashion sink!
Wow, that is going to be fancy!
We just replaced the basin and light and fixed the ceiling in our bathroom, that's enough fun for me!
I love remodels. I look forward to seeing lots of photos.
Wow your bathroom refurb's a real 'guts job' as they say. I quite liked it before, but guess a change is always welcome when you've lived with something for a while. It's good to hear you're keeping with traditional features. Looking forward to seeing the next set of photos and that vintage commercial laundry sink in situ.

Thank you for sharing Dana. I love the fact that you are fixing up and updating your farm house. I'm always one for preservation of history such as home remodeling and restoring. I can't wait to see what it looks like when everything is finished. I will definitely follow your every step Dana!

Love all the before pictures. Please keep us posted when the room is finished. Actually, if you could post some during pictures as things progress that would be great too. The more the better. Love looking at bathroom remodels, they give me the inspiration to finally get off the couch and get our bathroom completed this year before another year passes.
