Hi Dana--
So glad you guys are feeling better. I really wanted to come to the Fall Festival this year but Paul was out of town until Friday and then had studying to do all weekend. I didn't really want to bring my girls alone.
Looks like it was fun!
Maybe next year we'll make it.

Wonderful! Seeing children enjoy adults, tradition, nature, companionship, handmade goodies, and festivals makes my heart happy.

Looks like a really fun festival! I love seeing the crafts, food, dancing and singing at outdoor festivals like this. I bet it felt good to get out of the house too.

Glad you were able to get that flu bug outta there before the festival! Great photos...such happiness!
Our local village had their BIG Fair this weekend too...great weather, great food and lots of crafts and entertainment and just seeing those kiddies dancing and being so free makes you wish they could bottle that feeling forever!!

How wonderful.... all of those pictures! What an amazing piece of heritage for your girls to participate in. My favorite picture was the one of the elderly woman with her leg so high, dancing. Did you sell lots of soaps and scrubs? Hope so.... they're delightful.

We had a fall festival in town last weekend, and I was so disappointed that this year the city hired a real carnival company for some rides and food/drink vendors. They were so scary and inconsiderate. I liked the older version where we just had the light-hearted traditional stuff... like what your pictures reflect!

That's one festival I wish I could have come to. I love John C Campbell folk school and the area it's in.
We hope to come back and visit next year.
