More of the same
2011? Okay. Bring it on. I'll take more of the same from 2010 please.
And like our New Year's Day family tradition of homemade soup in a bread bowl, I'll take more of the same in this new year as last year provided.
Except with new stuff too . . . just like this year we made this soup instead of our regular minestrone.
More of the same. With a little something new. I like it.
Addendum: I'd just like to live it well. You know? I just want to be present in each fleeting, wispy, diaphanous moment of this life. Of this year. Of this lightening speed of a freight train called motherhood. Of my everyday moments with my husband. As a steward of this Earth. I just really want to feel it all. And be there.
Happy New Year.

Give me a bowl of that soup and some coffee with kahlua and I'd be happy too! I'll even do the dishes!
Hope you have a wondeful year Dana!
Me too Dana. These babies sure are growing quickly. My baby starts school next year... that's very wierd being able to say that! I am resolved this year to enjoy the moment more. Relax with life a little more. And work to live not live to work... so I am trying to find a balance that will enable me. Hope you don't stand on any Lego. Got to love playing with it but jeepers those little bits hurt! Love that soup in a bread bowl idea. What sized buns do you use?
You got it right kiddo...don't blink!!
What a wonderful way to start the new year...I want some next time we visit!;)
Wonderful! You used the word diaphanous! What a cool word! I need your bread recipe, it looks wonderful!
So well said! Me too!
More of the same is a very good thing! I love it. My motto is to live in this moment, so I cheered after reading your addendum. It's really a great way to live, allowing you to stop and smell the roses more often. Happy new year, Dana!
Enjoy - particularly your children while they are young because all too soon they are grown up - enjoy the now xxx
I think you definitely "get" it. Your enjoyment of your kids, family, life is so evident and so beautiful. I love seeing the kids cooking; their faces are great! And Legos...wow, I remember the Lego years...and so do my feet...haha. Happy New Year!;
That sounds great! Happy New Year!

Live it well.... Yes, me too. Good or bad just live it well. Taking time to look at a face, give that hug, do something kind. Happy New Year Dana, it's been fun!
