She says stuff too

Razor is in the kitchen cooking me dinner right this very instant.

I was sewing until about five minutes ago.

Because five minutes ago the smoke alarms went off and I needed to help fan the air to turn them off.

Yes I'm serious.

But that is not the point here.

The dogs, Harpo and Scout began trembling.  And whimpering.  And it really bothered Licious.  She felt the need to sit by them, protect them and coo in their ears.  Licious grew weary and asked Boo (my beautiful 11 year old in this picture above from last summer) to come relieve her of her arduous task.

Boo rolled her eyes and said, "Oh please.  They just need to man up and get over it."

And then didn't understand why Razor and I were laughing hysterically.

OMG! Didn't realize today was your birthday!! How did that one slip past me? What was for dinner? Happy Happy Birthday. If Russ says that he is cooking dinner that usually means we are eating out! HAHA!

LOL! I SO have to remember this. our poor, demented Dalmatian acts like that whenever the smoke alarm goes off...or whenever you pick up a loaf of bread. yes, he's smart enough to recognize that holding a loaf of bread usually means you will be using that evil appliance, the toaster. which, in turn, means that the smoke alarm might go off.....not always, but enough to make him turn into a 60 lb. pile of quivering, shaking spots.

Happy Birthday! That's so funny.. and tell Boo that the best thing for the dogs is to pretend that nothing scary is happening. If you pet them and fuss, they will think they were right to be frightened and be even more scared. They will look to the humans to see if their fear is justified. Strangely it is different with dogs than with little kids. They would need a cuddle!! It's very sweet of Boo though.

OMG, I must have been reading your blog longer than I thought because she looks SO OLD! What an amazing photo. Gorgeous. It totally captures her smile, and incorporates so much personality. Thanks for sharing! I must try to get such good ones of my three before they sprout up too fast.
