New quilt from nothing but scraps

I started sewing 2.5" squares together late last year. Late as in probably in the week between Christmas and the new year.  Then in January I had enough sewn together that I made blocks and assembled a quilt top. In February I finally quilted it and finished it up using leftover yardage and batting from other projects. I love that it is 100% completely made from scraps.

Scrappy quilts are my favorite.

I love how the open spaces give the scrappy parts some movement and make them stand out.

Oh, this is so much fun! I may have to "borrow" your idea. I have lots of scraps that I could use. :)

I love it! Love the way the quilt is framed by a border of 2.5" scraps too!

Wonderful! What a lovely quilt, all the little pieces seem to work so well together! Thanks for the inspiration, I have a sizable collection of 2.5" squares that need to be used!

The way I made the blocks made the border instantly exist!

Beautiful. I just love scrap quilts and your colors are beautiful together. I have a lot of 2.5" squares cut because I was going to make an Irish chain quilt someday, but I kinda like your idea better now that I see it. What size are the solid squares if I can ask.
