More than one of us is confused

Winter boots and shorts?

Blooming daffodils in February?

Winter hats and tank tops?

This crazy, warm, winter weather has both my kids and my gardens confused.

Things are a bit warm here with the high 40's. I'm waiting for some freak storm to come through.

Love the pictures of your pretty girls. :-)

Our Maple tree is covered in tiny red buds. It's no wonder it thinks it's spring, but I fear for it when we get a freeze, which we undoubtedly will before spring 'officially' arrives.

I know. We've now had year-round mosquitoes and fire ants. It is weird to wash sweats and shorts in the same load because of the occasional cold snap. We have plants that usually pop up in May growing now and the carpenter bees that usually don't plague us til April are here already.

Ugh. Its going to be a long, hot summer. I can tell.
