These guys have been racing for over 24 hours in horrendous weather conditions. The Checkpoint Zero Race Central websiteis slow to update so I'm sitting here anxiously awaiting news. I do see that last year's winning team dropped out . . . you know it really sucks if that team quits!!! (And I hope they had to withdraw for something like equipment failure and not because of injury.)
The waiting for news part is always the worst. I just kinda need to know that he is alright. He is doing something that he loves which makes me incredibly proud. I'm rambling.
I need to go plan a carbohydrate filled meal for when he walks in the door.
***UPDATE*** THEY FINISHED THE RACE AROUND NOON TODAY. WAITING ON OFFICIAL RESULTS TO SEE FINAL RANKINGS. HE IS NOW HOME. SORE. SLEEPING. AND, WARM.
