Back to adventure racing news
A few weeks ago Razor competed in the first adventure race of the year. It took those rascally race directors ages to get the final rankings figured out but in the end Razor is pleased with the results.
They placed 1st in the 3 person masters division. (Masters = add up all the ages of the 3 team members and it must total more than 120. Don't you dare call them old farts. I tried that once and it wasn't pretty. I still have a scar.)
Overall, they were 16th out of 74 teams.
I snapped this right after they crossed the finish line. Keep in mind that he hasn't slept in more than 28 hours. He's been biking, running, paddling, trekking, cursing, freezing, aching and starving for at least 24 of those 28 hours. Ain't he cute?
Yes, that is all their gear. You gotta love their support crew. They too have to stay up all that time and be sure to have all the right gear at each checkpoint. I mostly love the support crew because I'm not on it.
And really, doesn't this just sum it all up? Poor guy.

That's really cool! I think 16th out of 74 is an awesome feat!
Congrats to the winners!!!
And to the winners of your quilt draw!!!
I just discovered you and your giveaway quilt today, and read your post diagonally because I hadn't read the deadline.... So I went through the steps on my blogs... Oh well,I'm still happy I discovered you, and I've put you on my netvibes, so that as soon as you post, I'll be informed!!!
Thank you also for making me discover Jack Johnson who I didn't know and who came on your playlist. Now I'm looking into him (well at the record store) to see if I can find him in my neck of the woods....
Take care, looking forward to reading you some more!!!!
wow! We watch those adventure races on tv and they are insane! Congrats on 16th place!
P.S. Jack Johnson is from my neck of the woods..I knew him vaguely in high school (he's a year younger). He's a really nice guy even now!
Adventure Racing is CRAZY!!! good for them.
Boy, they did amazing! What wonderful photos.
I think you should join the support team. Really don't you think it would be fun? All night, cold, wet, no food? I don't know how Razor does it.
I think you are one smart cookie.. not being on that support crew gives you time at home to do fun stuffs.. and its warm, and its got flushing toilets and no sweaty men.. yep you are one smart cookie!
I told my DH he was an old fart when he turned 40.. he wasn't impressed, but I am catching up to him, s.l.o.w.l.y.
take care and happy easter to you!
