school = end of summer

School starts tomorrow and I'm sad. School means summer is over. And, my little lovelies aren't here to play with me.

Their days will be filled with other things. As will mine.

I'll miss shopping at their store.

And be a lonely momma for sure.

No doubt about it

What new creation will you come up with now?

I am so glad I found someone else who is sad to see their kids go to school. I hear so many Moms saying "I can't wait till school starts" or "I'll finally have some peace". I enjoyed every bit of summer with my boys and I'm sad that those lazy days are coming to an end.

I miss my two older children terribly when they head off to school. So much in fact, that I've decided to homeschool my younger ones! I'm going to be one sad empty nester should that day ever come...

You will just have to get your head down and do some crafting keep busy and the day will go faster and you wont have time to miss them then before you know it they will be home looking for something to eat I remember those days .
Hugs Mary.

I could never have done it, so I keep my baby home for school. :) Lovin' every minute of it, ok not every minute...but most of them.

Oh no! How sad :-(
I guess all change is difficult, even if it's a chenge you've been through many times before! The first couple of weeks will be hard, no doubt!
But it get's easier, and before you know it, it'll be okay.....and then it's time for Christmas-holidays!

Let me cheer you up, maybe if I order something....some sugar scrub and I guess I should try that lovely goat soap. I saw these in the Mall yesterday and had to laugh....I don't have to buy it here, I can get it especially made for me by a lovely woman in a Red Barn. Yours is probably better quality, right? Let me get my credit card out and put in an order....by the way, what is a podcast? When can we see it, do I have to have an ipod to see it??? I'm confused.

Ah, I'm sorry!
But cheer up! You've got all of us to laugh with! Surely that can lift your spirits!

We can keep each other company . . . but I do still have 3 little monsters at home! They may need a little attention too :) I had a similar post last week.

Dana,

How did it go? I was thinking of you when I got home this morning and realized I didn't still have Caroline in the car with me. It's weird how you can know something consciously, but keep forgetting it subconciously.

Have a super day--those are stunning photos and if I were you, I'd go climb that massive bale of hay!

I know I will be in your place sooner than later. My little sister just started high school today. In four years my mom will be feeling the full effects of an empty nester. Me, in four years all of mine will be in full time school. It is a strange thought. What will I do with all that time? I tell you what. In the mean time, You make me one of your beautiful quilts, and I will make you a halloweeney wooden photo op. How does that sound? Making that quilt would keep you busy and your mind off things for at least a few weeks.:) Hope you have a not so lonesome first week at home & that your girls have a super school year.

Awww Dana! That's exactly how I felt when my kids went back to school a few weeks ago. I cried the whole first day.

Then they came home and got into a huge fight and I realize that the quiet is kind of nice sometimes. ;-)

May I highly recommend HOMESCHOOLING! We love it and both of my children plan to homeschool their children when that day comes. Just graduated our son and our daughter has two years left. These years have been so sweet and I wouldn't have wanted to miss a thing!
P.S. We love leaving your blog open on our computer to hear the music!!! The quilts were the first reason we found your blog.

I totally understand. I have two of my littles in school this year. Thing 3 and I have been trying to keep busy. Next week I'm hoping to get the last of the deep cleaning done (snort) and the week after work on those UFOs that have taken over my craft room, it became ridiculous over the summer.
