Fall at my house

Goose bumps in the morning. Late afternoon sun like cinnamon. Squirrels pouncing in the fallen leaves. The promise of Razor's famous pumpkin cookies. Field trips and applesauce. Ghouls and ghosts.

I've missed you Fall.

And I won't let you pass me by. We are busy with some crazy cool stuff but I will breathe you in and savor you. For you will be gone in a blink of an eye.

Dana,

Crazy stuff--I was writing about pumpkin cookies today as well (albeit with a few chocolate chips thrown in)!

Loved this post. Of all the seasons, fall is the one that must be savored. The rest may be enjoyed and adored, but something about fall and the turning that it brings. You don't want to miss it.

Wonderful post. I feel the same way.

Did you guys grow your own pumpkins? We had no success this year, since the squach bugs decided to eat them. :)

Sometimes I wish we had Fall - but then we wouldn't have sunny days to go to the beach so I guess it's an o.k. trade-off.
It would be nice for it to actually feel like Christmas in December - the most we can hope for is for it to rain and be in the high 60's :-)

Don't you hate that I'm complaining about this!

love your post! I am enjoying fall, the weather is perfect, cold and warm. I love waking up to frost and having to bundle up, but the afternoon walk in the sun is just right! Your pics are great - as usual :)

Oh I know what you mean about fall. I am waiting very impatiently for it to arrive here. I am running my air conditioner right now, as it is another 95 degree day. Your pictures are lovely.

Lovely sentiments about fall. I always make my grandmothers molasses cookies each fall. Nothing signals fall like biting into a soft and rich molasses cookie.

Love, love, love your screen door! So wish I had one. I can just hear it now, the squeeking of the spring, then the slam!
I live in Florida so we don't really get Fall weather until late November and even then, Summer days pop in here and there.
I love fall though. The crisp air, the wonderful colors. Thanksgiving dinner, mmmmmmmmmm!!!
