Lucky

I feel lucky these days.

I won this beautiful necklace and earring set from Lolly over at LollyChops. I love to visit her blog for the photos, crafty ideas and a good laugh. I've hardly taken the necklace off since it arrived late last week. Thank you Lolly!

Then after months of not finding much at the thrift stores I found these lovely jars last week. The photo doesn't show it very well but they say Chattanooga Mason on them. I've never seen such a mason jar nor have I taken the time to research them. But, they have cleaned up nicely and are proudly holding rice and beans in my cupboard.

At that same thrift shop I found this old case. I have been looking for one in good condition for ages so as to gussy up and hold my little projects in car with me while I'm waiting to pick the girls up from school.

It gussied up quite nicely I think.

Finally, I also found this vintage Christmas fabric in one of my favorite color combinations . . . red and aqua. Dude! Red and aqua!! It's a panel of sorts and I'm adding some borders with the plan to make it some sort of quilted wall hanging for the holidays.

Did I mention I'm feeling lucky?

Very lucky! I've been patiently waiting to find a tear-drop (or round) case but no luck yet...keeps me going back to the thrift store.

I love lucky thrift shopping. Maybe today will be my lucky day. I am wearing an aqua cardigan today. I'm thinking the red shoes will go nicely. Cant wait to see what you make with the fabric.

Being from Chattanooga and all I wish I could give you some info on those lovely jars, however, I can't. I have no clue. Do you suppose the case was a hairdryer case from the past? Nice job. Love that you share your ideas with all of us.
I won the TGIF at lollychops after you. My win is a bracelet mom chops donated. I feel blessed.

I'm relatively new to your blog, I love reading all you have to say and seeing the great projects you come up with. The new case is fabulous...but, and I wrong or is that an old portable hairdryer case? I remember my Granny having one similar!

Oh I really want one of your mason jars. One peek and it instantly said 'Chicago Cubs' to me (guess where I live?)

We're having a winning season and are HUGE fans - Go Cubs!

Those are some great finds! May I ask, what kind of thrift shops do you look at? I'm in a big city, so I'm sure there are more than what I've found, but I haven't looked past the local Goodwills. I need to start building my cloth bins up:) Thanks for sharing!!

When I was little I had a case just like that I carried my Barbie dolls around in. Mine wasn't gussied up, though, lol.

Oh my goodness! Red and aqua Christmas fabric! I am dreaming of a towel for my kitchen! Have any extra you would be willing to part with? I would so be willing to take it off your hands :) For a price of course.

I can't wait to see the finished product!

I found an old mason jar that has a glass lid a while back. I could not pass that baby up.

And the aqua and red are my colours of the moment also. Well, they are now that I've seen a couple of places how great they look together.
