Have I mentioned I live in the sticks?

I've told you before how I live in the country. Ya see, where I live it is not unusual to see signs like this.

And minutes old calves like this.

But, we were a little stumped to find this track in our yard. Oh, I know some of you will easily say that it is a deer track.

But I ask you, would a deer do this? Even a herd of deer wouldn't do this.

This is actually part of our 84 year old neighbors yard as we found it the other morning. Gone are the smooth lawn tractor riding days. Her entire yard has been torn up. Any guesses as to what wondrous creature would do this?

Let me give you a clue. Have you ever read this book? My girls love it for all of it's smelly humor.

But we be havin' us some wild boars for reals!

And they ain't purty!

I told you I live in the sticks.

I thought Wild Boars as soon as I saw the foot print. I use to live where there were wild boars and they are mean and ugly.

I have been meaning to tell you that I love your playlist. I left your blog on one day for the longest time just to listen to the music while I cleaned. I had to go make my own blog list and it was fun. Thanks for sharing. I also LOVE your new heading.

Woe! I hope the boars stay south of the line. We have duck crossing signs here in Michigan and they are so cute ~ the signs I mean. Ok, so are the ducks.

Uh.. WOW. Did they use their husks or horns (haha) to dig up the yard? That's awful! They are the most ugly creatures.... did they come through in the middle of the night? You're leaving me in suspense Dana! You can't do that! lol I need DETAILS woman! DETAILS! lol And, I gotta tell ya ... when I first moved to TN after I got married, we lived at my husband's grandpa's farm house in the upstairs apartment. He rented out his land to his friend that had cows. For the longest time I hated those suckers. Now I have a fond opinion of them, and it helps that Ree (Pioneer Woman) always shows the really cute stuff. LOL *ahem* Long story over. Sorry. lol

What a handsome fellow;-)

If you saw two tracks side-by-side in this country you'd probably think they were roo tracks.

Just as I was about to say it was pigs, I scrolled down. We see that kind of damage around here a lot. They destroy sugar cane crops, tear up the national parks, eat sea turtle eggs and do all sorts of other damage. Awful animals (but not as awful as cane toads)! I wonder if they taste good...

Oh my goodness! Aren't they a bit dangerous? My dad would be in heaven--he just loves every little bit of wildlife. What a mess!

That's disgusting! How did you manage to get such a close up shot!? You are one brave mama to live so close to such beasties! All we've got nearby are coyotes. And they aren't quite so much ugly!
