Who knew?

So, I already told you about the new sewing machine. This weekend I decided to try free motion quilting.

I had tried and tried this before with my old machine. Never, ever worked.

But the Janome is an absolute dream. Who knew sewing could be this easy?

I think that is one of my favorite quilt stitches. I love how it makes the fabric look so softy and snuggly.

gorgeous! you know, my family always said this about skiing...it is part skier skill and part equipment. i am noticing the same thing with my machine, an old hand me down that is a vast improvement on my previous old hand me down! :)

oh. i HOPE i feel even REMOTELY like that when i tackle those quilts. i think i might order the fabric later this week!!???!!!??? i'll probably have to just stare at it for months before i cut any of it. oh, the panic! maybe there will have to be a practice one with all the weird junk scraps i have around. Although i DO want to get them done before she's 12 and over the whole doll thing. ;-)

btw, i just want to, i don't know, EAT that little camper i love it so much. how DID you know about my obsession with vintage campers?

very cute!

I've only attempted machine quilting on my machine once. It was a little interesting. I need to try again....

I like this quilt. Is the picture of the trailer a transfer or one of your creations?

I'm so happy for you that you have a machine you enjoy using. I've had my Janome 6260QC for about 6 years and love it! Having something that is a joy to use makes all the difference in how we approach our craft. Love what you have already achieved with it. Keep up the great work and the wonderful blog postings.
