Why never you?

People ask me why there are never photos of me here.

Probably because I am always the one with the camera in my hand.

And taking a photo of yourself is hard. Poor lighting in the bathroom mirror. Hence the black and white. No real way to focus . . . hence the blur.

And I rarely act natural when a camera is pointed my way.

My FaceBook photo was another miserable self portrait. Taken many months ago. Dang my hair was short!

Anyway, whatever. This is me.

I like this idea. Maybe have a series where everyone has to post a photo of themselves? There are so many blogs that I read, and I actually have no idea what the person looks like. How fun! :)

Oh! It is so cool to see your face :) Your photos are great even if we rarely like pictures of ourself... in fact I should talk for myself, I rarely like pictures of me!!!
Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day!

So there's a face I can put your thoughts to. I've heard your voice, own your beautiful sewing work, and even seen your hand-writing. But it's rare to see your face.

You're simply beautiful inside and out! :)

Now if this was a telephone, we'd all be talking about whether your voice matches your appearance. LOL

Penzey's Spices is featuring some of my recipes in their upcoming holiday catalog and they thought I'd have some pictures of me cooking or sitting at the table with our guests... I explained to her since I'm the one who is always behind the camera, you won't find very many pictures of me. She didn't quite understand.

I am so visual, it's nice to finally see your face. I don't do good with having my picture taken, so this would be a good experiment for me to try. xoxo

Hi you. You look terrific!
I've had the luxury of seeing you in person so I know how beautiful you are, but it's good to see you showing your face around here.

That said, I have the same issues with posting my photo on my blog. Well, those and my massive insecurities.

Dana! So good to see your face! You are so inpiring! I love your photos on the last few posts. Lately the only one taking pics of me is my 5 year old son. He loves it, and the pics aren't terrible. If I have time I will post them. You look great though! -Tonya
