Curved piecing

Curved piecing is tricky.

However, I have found that with enough pinning and enough tugging and pulling as it goes through the sewing machine I can manage it.

And the pink quilt blocks for the breast cancer awareness quilts for Team Tiara have started to arrive. I am overwhelmed by your generosity in making them, sending them and contributing your kind words and thoughts.

After all, every little bit helps.

Curved piecing is tricky, but I feel so clever when I manage to pull it off!

Oh yes.. curved sewing.. takes a steady hand and narrow foot with a light touch on the pressure for the feed dog. But I always forget to amend that pressure afterwards. Oh well that should be the least of my problems.

Can't wait to see the results!

with love,

Olivia

Yes, curved piecing it next for Round #4 and I am just waiting for Heidi's instructions. I mean I could find some but I'm putting it off!:) I see that lots of pins are important!;) I'm just going to be afraid to cut into those string and crazy 9patch to do some! Will definitely have to practice on something else!!

Can't wait to see all the pinkiness!:)

BTW...I like your new header.

You should try a Curve Master Presser Foot. It makes sewing these and other curves a dream. No pinning! I've got one and it really works. I love it!

I follow your site and would be willing to contribute pink blocks for your quilts. However, I can't find a post referencing what you're looking for...can you give some more info on size/pattern? Don't worry if you already have more than you can use, but I have lots of pink...

I am still too scared to try a whole bunch of curved piecing.... But I keep seeing everywhere people who's work I love taking the curves on. Gets me one step closer to overcoming my fear! :-)
