Geography

So I'm driving the girls to school this morning and my youngest is telling me about a frog book she read. She probably read it because we collected a few billion frog eggs from a pond at the goat farm last weekend. Which, by the way, the dogs spilled out all over the patio and started eating while I frantically picked them up with my bare hands.

Bare hands people!

So anyway. She is telling me about the Banana frog. Yes it is yellow. And it is her favorite because it is so cute.

Me: "Where does the Banana frog live?"

Licious: "Um. . . what do you mean? I think it lives in trees."

Me: "No. I mean, where in the world do you find Banana frogs?"

Licious: "Well. Um. I think either Australia or Chicago."

Me: "Chicago??"

Licious: "Yep."

P.S. My CPU is at the repair shop for some graphics problems. Therefore, no accompanying pictures. And less posts. Oh! And my parents are coming tomorrow to keep the kids while Razor and I get away for a few days. Squeal!!

Too funny!! Hope you have a wonderful time on your mini-vacation.

I'll be sewing up my pinwheels while you're gone but will need some hand-holding when it comes to quilting it. Hurry back!!!

What, you don't believe Licious? I do! But I wouldn't have touched the eggs with my hands - bare or not! Nope! I'da let those little puppies have at it I would.

Have a WONDERFUL time AWAY, ALONE!

bare hands???? that's nothin. i was more freaked about the dogs trying to eat them! ack! they might have stopped on their own though, dana. i'm sure they were disappointed to not have been served up some chicago style banana frogs :-)

oh i hope your time away is TRULY SCRUMPTIOUS. (and, yes, you are now required to start singing from Chitty BangBang) my recent promise of time to myself was dashed. it's good to get a break. enjoy it.

What a coincidence! I am a huge fan of rare wildlife that can only be found in Australia and Chicago! :)

I, too, often confuse Chicago and Australia. Giggles! Gotta love what comes from the mouths of babes! Too cute!

Have a great time! And, I agree - to paraphrase my friend Daisy - Chicago, Australia... whatever! :)

This is why I read blogs. Sometimes I think my husband doesn't understand why I read blogs of people I don't know. This is why. This, right here. Dropping frog eggs on the patio and trying to pick them up before the dogs eat them all. Banana frogs in Chicago. I love it.

You are a hero..frog eggs and bare hands... and I believed I was tough with all the dead mouses and birds lying around the house lately! ;)
Enjoy your time off!

Time away with your man.......priceless.......enjoy every minute. Everyone will be happier and healthier for it!

Chicago probably seems as foreign to her as Australia!

Happy sewing

Eww, bare hands?

Chicago, hmm, sounds reasonable! LOL
