I'm dying to buy fabric for my next project (I buy for each project, rather than just buying... as much I would prefer otherwise), but I have a bunch of other things I must finish first. *sigh*
I have managed to go a whole month without buying any--WooHoo!!! It must be time to buy something??? Very cute fabric. You know what they say--if you deny yourself too much you will binge!!! L,A-
So cute!! I have the same problem...it's so hard! But I struck a deal with my husband. I (having had a baby this past March) still have some weight to lose that was left over from the pregnancy. I know (and my husband does to) that it will make me more energetic, and a happier person all around. So, we've set some goals for me to reach. Every few pounds I lose, I get to spend a certain amount of money on new fabrics, without feeling guilty! Trust me, the pounds are flying off, and I've almost reached my first goal! This has been the best diet I have ever been on!!
Just buy it! It's under $20! That's less than tickets to a movie and popcorn and a drink. or...less than lunch out. or...less than a pizza...I could go on and on! And the plus....you'll have something gorgeous to show for it after you buy it!!
my fabric diet ended with the pre-order of dr. seuss fabrics. and then i binged like crazy after 4 months of not buying unless i absolutely needed it for a project already in the works. and i have the quilt fest this weekend...bad for a binge fabricholic.
snag some of your current fabrics and use them to put a color band on your kitchen/bath towels. phew. now that you have used some of your existing fabrics you will be motivated to do more creating and then you will feel worthy of the new purchase. do something and you will feel better!
hahaha, I've been eyeballing those hedgehogs for a while too... I fell off the wagon completely this week. I bought $200 of fabric from Hawthorne Threads and Calico Cottage. Ooops! How fab meeting Dolores 8-)
If it makes you feel any better, I buy fabric and I don't even know how to sew. I just buy it because I love the look of it! Designer fabrics are my fave.
