My youngest daughter, Licious, has three favorite colors. Lime green, orange and yellow.
At Christmas, the main things she hoped Santa would bring her were lime green, orange and yellow in color. Lime green turtlenecks. Orange slippers. Yellow robe. It went on and on. And let me tell you, Santa had a hard time convincing his elves to make much of anything in those colors or any combination thereof.
So I during our week off due to snow she picked out fabrics from my stash and I made her a quilt.
With all her favorite colors.
Eat that Santa.

OMG...I just can't believe how you and I are sort of on the same wavelength...is that a Turning Twenty?:) I just got a few more Kaffe's today to round out what I already had to make my little 16 yr old cousin in Italy a quilt "like sunset over the Med"!!:) And that is the exact pattern I was thinking of using!

Those are some of my favorite colors too! She did a great job selecting fabrics, it looks great!
LOVE it! This quilt is so happy! She has wonderful taste! She would have been right at home in the 60s and 70s =-) Most of the clothes I sewed as a teenager were in these colors (and, actually, the prints were similar,too.)
You're speedy, woman. I have a citrus maverick stars quilt that I am now inspired to work on again.

Yeah for you about the sewing summit! I really do wish I could go, but my guess is that it's not in the cards right now. I so love, love, love your quilt. That sweetie pie of yours has excellent taste in colors. Is that the "turning twenty" pattern? I'd love to know. I am painfully aware that improv is popular, but I love the mindlessness of a pattern. Does that make sense? More snow here today. Hmmmm.

I love citrus, too! So does my sister, so I made her a citrus quilt. That I hope to start quilting in February. I figure that nothing chases away the winter blues like citrus, huh? :)
