Catching up

Seems I'm behind in just about everything right now.  I've got photos to edit.  Projects to finish.  Chores to do.  Things to clean.  Calls to make.  Plans to follow through on.  I need to rev up something exciting over on the quilt along group. Make soap.  And about 1,647 other things.

Yep.  I'm behind on just about everything right now.  But, my family is well fed.  Well rested.  And well loved.

All that other stuff can wait.

I feel exactly the same way! :) My kids just started school this week and my house still hasn't recovered from summer vacation. And this week I've been canning up a storm so the kitchen has blown up! But, everyone is happy to still have playtime outside after homework is done, eating dinner late means staying out late, etc. Life is good! Enjoy!

I'm with you, baking seems like the right thing to do when life gets overwhelming. You simply have to slow down and put your love into the task, and that makes everything else melt away for awhile and then come back less anxiety-inducing.

A happy family is more important than anything else in the world!

I think I just added 2" to my hips just looking at your bread. I am imagining it slathered with butter, so maybe it just added 3"!

Happy weekend!
