Last hurrah

My kids are fish.  They love the water and swim at every opportunity they get.  Over the weekend, we took them to the pool for summer's last hurrah.

Okay.

Not really.

It was time to drain the hot tub and refill it.  They've been wanting to use it as a swimming pool all summer and finally got their chance when the rising water temperature was between 85-90 degrees.

This was after they went to the creek behind the house to pan for gold.  Childhood memories are made of days like this.

And I'm hoping this is one that sticks.

It'll stick =-) We always used to go to my mom's house for the kids to swim on the last day of summer before school started. They remember =-)

swimming in a hot tub is twice as cool as swimming in the bathtub. at least.
