Breakin'

The girls and I are off for our annual pilgrimage to Nana and Papa's for spring break.  Razor's got a list of tasks to complete while we are gone . . . one of which is making sure the hundreds of vegetable and flower starts in the greenhouses don't die.

So, I'm taking a break from this space for a bit and will be back soon with new stories and adventures to share.

And as much as I look forward to spring break, I know I'll be itching to get back home, get my hands in the garden, and reconnect with all of you.

Have a great time! Enjoy your time away and enjoy your homecoming afterwards.
When my kids were little and a young visitor would make a fuss about leaving my husband would say, "But if you don't leave, you can't come back!" It worked every single time and always brought a smile to my face.

Well so far Ive planted my peas and I had hoped to plant a few more crops but last night we got the dreaded "f" word and tonite its predicted to get cold too. So Ill hold off on direct sowing my lettuce and maybe lay down the straw.

Have a blast! Enjoy the break. Get recharged.

PS - love the stars quilt. The grey adds just enough gravity.

I see you have started Amish paste tomatoes. have you planted them before or are you trying something new? I just saw the same kind at my local greenhouse. i thought about trying them. the greenhouse said they were great for salsa. just curious to know what you use them for and if you like them. thanks janita
