Vintage Cosco stool - before and after

I found this vintage Cosco stool at a thrift store last week.  I've found three total over the years but never a yellow one.  Have I ever shown you the other stools?  I'll have to go look and see if I have.

Anyway.  Please forgive me while I swoon at it's awesomeness.

The seat back was torn.

But with some oilcloth and elbow grease I fixed it right up.

For for twenty bucks I now have . . .

a stool that both buzzy things and furry things approve of almost as much as I do.

Wish I had my great aunts :( I was too young when she died & I think it was donated. I have many memories of sitting on it & watching her cook in the kitchen. SO awesome Dana.

oooh, I love it. My grandparents had a yellow one just like that. But the oilcloth just gives it a little more style. LOVE IT!

Loverly. I recall those chairs and don't recall where I met them in my life. Dang momsheimers. ;)

Nice kitty wants to sit and enjoy the sun. :D

Excellent work, Dana, and I love the added fabric.

Nice remake! We have a yellow one that belonged to my DH's mom--it sits in the corner of our kitchen and is a popular perch when we have folks over :)

Never saw one before. What is the bottom piece? A removable stool? Looks like a perfect kitchen stool.

This would be so handy to have in the kitchen. I remember when my mom had one when I was growing up a million years ago.

The previous owner of my house left one of those chairs in the garage, but I didn't know what it was officially called until now. I like what you did with your chair! Mine looks nowhere near as good as yours.

Love it! I could use one of those - would help with my "vertically challenged" moments!
