::Gulp::

I'm supposed to share my scrap storage but I'm not a big scrap keeper.  I make a quilt and either use up every bit of fabric in the process or share left over bits with friends that want them.  I do, however, keep a small vintage suitcase full of my most favorite scraps.  Then, when inspiration strikes to make something little I have the perfect scrappy stash to pull from.  In fact, when I made the Ferris Wheel quilt that is seen up in my blog header, I pulled from this exact case.

I'm looking forward to this Scrappy Stash Quilt Along and hoping inspiration strikes at just the right moment.

scraps are my nemesis. I feel guilty getting rid of them and really don't know what to make with them.

My scraps have gotten way out of control! In fact, it could be said the same for my fabric! I love your sewing space Dana!

OK so you don't sound like you need this QAL - you must be so very disciplined, I can't through any piece away! Gorgeous case by the way - thanks for sharing.

That's very pretty storage for scraps! Mine are in clear plastic shoe boxes and the plastic containers that we have recently been getting from our local Chinese restaurant for take out orders. They look like this: http://www.foodpackagingwarehouse.com/Entree-Containers/CR-815-WC.html and are just great!

So what's your plan for this quilt if you don't have scraps? Are you going to "steal" some from a friend or buy some to have on hand?

I have lots of scraps, but I'm not sure it's enough to make a quilt, let alone one that would even look good with all the weird color combinations!

I love your vintage suitcase. So cute!! :)

Sounds like a fun party! I love your scrap management and your scrap storage. I think vintage suitcases are so charming! I found a great one last year that I don't use as much as I should. Great idea!
