A moment of silence for soft pretzels and raspberry rolls

Words escape me.

So I think a moment of silence is best.

Ommmmmm.

Ommmmmm.

Ommmmmm.

I used Alton Brown's recipe from a quick google search.  So good I've already handwritten it down into my recipe book.

We made some with cinnamon sugar and though they were good, the salted ones were out of this world.

We also made raspberry rolls.  I used my regular cinnamon roll recipe but instead of the cinnamon sugar filling used frozen raspberries (10 oz bag), two tablespoons cornstarch, 1/4 cup sugar and 1/2 cup butter.  Use some of that butter in the bottom of the baking pan.

Dude.

That won't be the last time we make either of these bad boys.  Guaranteed.

P.S.  Planning a quick sewing tutorial for you on Friday.  Just in time for Valentine's Day.  Maybe a giveaway too. . .

I can't read your blog anymore. I just want to eat those pretzels and raspberry rolls. NOT Paleo!

I literally am drooling......did the house smell divine too?
How beautiful your creations look! What a terrific way to spend a cold winter's day together. 12 degrees here today.

Yum.

At 10 pm last night, all I wanted was a soft pretzel. I placated myself with making cooked carrots and hard boiled eggs (strange to cook that late, maybe). But now, after seeing this, I need to find that Alton brown recipe! come on, google, don't fail me now!

Wow, they all look fabulous! I've never made pretzels or rolls but I love them both. I'm inspired to try them some day.

DH and I were just talking last night about how we were craving soft pretzels and we made a plan to whip up a batch this weekend. Now my mouth is watering and I say, "Why wait for the weekend?!" And those raspberry rolls?! Must make now!

I knew from the title that reading this post would be dangerous, but I did it anyway.
OMG! I love soft pretzels, but I never thought about making them myself....until now. Also love cinnamon rolls so why not on pretzels?
Sadly I have recently started to love raspberry in anything. Sadly I say cause I have been trying to diet away those holiday pounds. ;)
Thanks for the yummy ideas. Have to go google now.

My tummy....it won't stop talking.

Just when I was trying to be good...mwha, like that's ever going to happen.

Another one, or two, to add to my try this list.

I want to come and live with you. =-) I need someone around with these mad cooking (and crafting) skills...and with a wicked sense of humor and groovy-ness to match my own. Plus, I like to hang out with (read: act like) sweet kiddos, too =-)

Talk about satisfying salty & sweet cravings! I googled for Alton Brown's soft pretzel recipe. Assuming he only has one, and the one I found is the one you used, I have a question. When you transfer the pretzels from the boiling water to the half-sheet pan, do you dry them, or the water that drips on the pan, any? I do plan on making these right away. I don't have unsalted butter on hand, but will throw caution to the wind and use salted. ;-) I don't have pretzel salt, either, but I do have kosher and sea salt on hand.

Just wanted to drop you a note to let you know we made both of these - pretzels last weekend and Raspberry Rolls yesterday. Both get rave reviews, and a place in my favorite recipes. Thank you for sharing them!
