We were driving the van to a place to sell it for us when the engine died in route. Razor and I could have been annoyed by now having to get the sucker towed but instead we high fived. We always want to drive cars we own until they are no longer drivable.
Mission accomplished.

My goal with my '98 Subaru wagon is to make it 20 years. "Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without"....I wouldn't mind skipping the towing part though!:D

I love it! Our old subaru we did just the same thing. We drove it forever until one day Casey got home from work and said that he was smelling the clutch the whole way home. We decided it was time to just take it to the pick and pull where they gave us $225 for it which was probably all we could have gotten out of anyway. So, we decided to chance driving it there, the girls and I drove behind it just in case something were to happen and the girls kept asking what that smell was cause we were smelling the clutch. We made it all the way there :)
Way to go, kid!
Also - what's with the spam lately? I've been getting hammered but it appears my filter is working better than yours. Stupid spammers.
Awesome! One of our vehicles just turned over on 250,000:) Drive it until it falls apart!
dana... this is how i know we could be friends!! high five indeed!! we drove my husband's truck (having replaced several transmissions... etc.) until it died with 230K, our car... same exact thing but we got to 245K, and now our van, which we thought was dying last week at 187K. turns out she's still got some life left!! (i believe this also has something to do with being very very cheap... me, not you!)
