Bloom

Every morning I leave the house at 7:10am to take the girls to school.  I drop them off and go to the gym.  If there are errands to run I do it after working out.

And lately, every morning when I get home I let the dogs out, pet the outside cats and walk around my yard admiring all that is blooming.

I realized today how much I look forward to this new ritual.

I also thought of my Mom today.  I get this "posey patrol" gene from her.  She always likes to walk around her yard, or a friend's yard, or my yard and see what is growing.

I bet she lets out a little giggle when she reads that I'm doing the same thing.

Oh my you have some beauties blooming. Nothing blooming here yet, but it is greening up finally. I have been out in the garden for hours already clearing up and cleaning out the beds. Your pinky iris is gorgeous. I have never seen that colour before. I only have the traditional purple ones!

Love your flowers! I am also enjoying the blooms in my garden and was just thinking this morning how much I love spring in the Midwest.

Love the blooms. You have such a pretty yard. My iris bloomed for the first time in 4 years, so happy.

I do the same thing here. I love getting out in the yard when all is quiet and the birds are starting to sing. The best way to start a day off. Love the Dame's Rocket that are with the Iris's in the first picture. :)

Beautiful blooms. Those pictures make me want to plant some in the front but must wait until it's fenced (deer).

Seeing yours photographed so well makes missing mine a bit better.

Thank for sharing and yay for the posey patrol. That's a good thing to have.

I do that too especially in spring when everything is coming alive. Your grounds are so pretty with all your flowers and plants.

Spring! Isn't it wonderful time of the year? I'm enjoying watching all the plants bloom in my new yard, deciding what to add and what to move and what to remove :0). My new yard is professionally landscaped and I need to take some of the "formal" feeling away. Your yard looks amazing thanks for sharing your great photography skills off too......what kind of camera do you use?

Happy Spring and Happy Sewing

Strawberries! Are those the yellow ones? They look great, you're going to have a ton of berries.

What a pretty yard Dana. I do the same thing, walk around my yard every day to check out what is blooming and to weed as I walk along. Enjoy!
