Reality of jam

Strawberry season = strawberry freezer jam

And lest you think it's all sewing, jam making, rainbows and unicorns...

My reality is messy.  I just photograph the pretty.

Have you gotten addicted to flying that helicopter? Had to put my DH in a 12 step program for his :0)

Those pictures are making my mouth water!

Happy Gardening

Strawberry jam is the best! I have got to find some of those plastic lids for my jars. :)

I need to make some freezer jam too.

I can smell the jam bubbling away in big canning pots. We don't get many local berries here like in the East. :( enjoy your jam

One of the things on my summer "list" is to look into making jams and preserving. I'm kind of scared of homemade-things-in-jars-for-long-times but it looks so yummy and homey!

Oh, oh, the joy of strawberry jam freshly made. I miss that so much.
Can't have it in the house any longer thanks to daughter or at least making that die for jam.

Perhaps I should usher her out for a day or two....;)

Your pictures are stunning, and many tummies are now grumbling.

Helicopter fun or was it trying to take off with a small jar of jam for someone? :D

Enjoy.

I made not freezer jam last year and it was "too runny" "not enough berries" for my husband so I will have to try a freezer version.

I bought strawberries and raspberries specifically for making jam today. a) they are in, b) I had hooked my last jar of commercial jam out of the fridge and it was mouldy! Time for freezer jam but I'll make a small amount and put it in small jar....
