Artisan bread

I'm still making bread from this book.  I had a stroll through my blog archives to see just how long I've been making it and it seems I made my first loaves in 2009.  So incredibly easy.  And the texture and taste are sheer bread perfection.

Every New Year's Day we all make soup together and eat it in home made bread bowls.  I've talked about it before here, here, and here and this year was no exception.  Broccoli cheese soup was the name of the game for 2014.

Bread.

Warm, pillowy inside, crusty outside, comforting and delicious bread.

What a great family tradition! Perfect way to start the new year together.

Nothing smells as good as bread baking to me, I was an adult before I ever had "store bought" bread, my mother baked all the time to keep her family of 7 kids in fresh bread!

Yum

Happy Sewing

I never thought I did that much baking until we moved and haven't been able to use the oven yet. Now it seems like I can't think of a single thing to cook that doesn't need to go in the oven. But... this is the week... the oven will be in working order! Thanks for the yummy inspiration.

I usedd to make bread from scratch occassionally. Then I got a bread machine and we used that a lot. I need to try bread bowls and soup . I know what soup I want to make. ;)

that looks so yummy - I've never made bread. Is it easy? Do you have a bread machine? Looks like fun and I bet it smells heavenly. xo
