January Quilt

If you follow me on Instagram  then you've seen bits and pieces of this quilt during the making process. It's a pattern called January Quilt from Lady Harvatine and I'm pretty much in love with it.

So in love with it that it will probably go everywhere I go. That's not weird, right? I mean, you travel with your favorite quilts too, right?

Wait!

What if my luggage gets lost?

Maybe it will stay home.

Maybe not.

I'm really enjoying how those golden yellows pop. I think the quilt wants to come visit OK! ;)

ummm... carry-on? :) Wow that's lovely! The weather's turning here (maybe?) so I've actually started sewing again. Love the inspiration. Those colors! Those curves!

When my daughter traveled to Alaska this summer with a quilt I had mended for her last Christmas, my first thought was..... what are you thinking?????? It is a big Queen sized quilt and she didn't have it in her suitcase , not sure it was even in her carry on, maybe stuffed in her pillowcase which she was also carrying along with several pieces of luggage and a stuffed horse. Which my granddaughter couldn't leave home without. My oh My!!! Airplane floors are not the cleanliest places. Maybe it is "normal" to travel with quilts and horses. Who knew. The way I figure it quilts are a wonderful thing to come home too. : ) Though I never go any where without my pillow : ) Happy trails where ever she may roam ! Janita
