I sewed up a Blithe Quilt. Cause how could I not?

It's no secret that I shop at Fat Quarter Shop for lots of the fabric I sew with. I've had their button on the sidebar of my blog since 2009. They have an ongoing series called AGF Stitched where they partner with Art Gallery Fabrics and release a free pattern and offer kits for sale that provide all of the fabric to make the quilt top. I made the Welded Quilt from the ongoing series and now I've made the brand new Blithe Quilt too. I like the ease of the patterns in the series and the readily available resources that accompany the free patterns (watch the Blithe Quilt video here.)

I wanted mine to have the look and feel of a vintage quilt that has been around for decades being used and loved. Pinks, blues, peaches and mint greens gave me that vibe. I'm kinda crushing on it because it feels old and faded and soft and well loved.  The pattern design is interesting but utilitarian if that makes sense. I mean, it just seems like the kind of design I would find in a collection of old quilts. And I mean that in the very best way possible as old quilts are the BEST quilts.

The quilt measures 57.5" x 72.5" and, naturally, is now in heavy rotation at our house.

The white fabric with all the dainty flowers is my favorite! It's perfect for the old quilt look. : )
