I made a new quilt. And photographed it and everything!

Summer has a way of swallowing things up whole. No? Or, say what? I just mean I finished this quilt a few weeks ago but in the swoosh, whoosh of all that is summer, it is only today that I remembered and/or took the time to photograph it. The colors feel icy and cool. The over all design (Chic Country from Sew Kind of Wonderful) keeps me staring at it and getting lost in the circles.  As soon as I walked back inside, folded it up and set it down, summer is on to the next thing. Summer moves fast is what I'm saying. And the fast pace doesn't allow, or rather encourage, me to look at the things I make and appreciate them for a moment.

Anyway.

What a lovely quilt. I especially like your artsy first picture with the matching stars on the side of the house. Very clever. I've only made one block by this pattern - not easy. I admire your beautiful work.

This came out beautifully. I wonder if this pattern would be a good one to try some "transparency" style fabric choices.

It is absolutely stunning! I love the colours. It makes me think of those blueberry pies you make and make me drool over on Instagram!

Beautiful! I made a Winding Ways quilt last year and it was a long process with all the curved seams, but so worth it for those circles:). Enjoy!

It is a beauty. I love the circles. I am not finishing things and I have no excuse. Except laziness.

I would love to know the name of this quilt. My Great Grandmother made a quilt top for Dad & Mom's wedding present. Mom never took to sewing so it stayed in the closet til after I got married. She dug it out and gave it to me and it is the same pattern except she did hers in pink and green. All the old thread had rotted so I had to resew it. But I have never known the name of it. Your is very pretty done in the multi colors. Thank You!
