Until then we settled for these.

I tend to humanize all animal creatures. So imagine my delight when I snapped this photo of the goldfish looking right at me. I think we have really bonded. We connect on a spiritual level that fish and I. He (or is it a she) really gets me.

Dana,
When we were first married and in an apartment I got fish for a dog. And I loved those little fish! Sometimes they are just the thing to help you feel connected! :)
Ok...that's a little goofy...oh, I think he's looking at me. Definitely a guy!
So what's the name of the goldfish? I name everything, even houseplants, so I'm right there with you.
How funny, I just this minute snapped the cap off my Snapple and guess what the "real fact" on it is? As I was reading your blog? "A goldfish's attention span is three seconds." How funny! What a coincidence.
What a great shot! As a teenager I had a goldfish that lived for 6 years! He'd greet me everyday when I came home from school by banging his head on the side of the bowl. By the time he died, his head was flat!! He was adorable.
He totally "gets" you. I know it!
We're having the same chicken issues, as we are down to one rooster and one henny penny.
But no fish.
*sigh*
I hope you did some research on those lil guys. They are awfully cute.
let me get this straight...they want chickens but will settle for one gold fish...boy are they easy
:-)
i cannot wait to get to our garden, but alas, it is snowing again until tomarrow morning...
Now that's a great photo!!
What a neat picture-I feel like he is looking at me too. I wish we had a place for chickens too.
What is it with us creative bloggers wanting chickens? It is an epidemic. I can't have any cause I live in the "city."
I can relate. We had our Fred he sat next to my sink. We visited while I did dishes. I miss Fred
