May I please?

May I please have your opinions?**

I showed you a few shots from my first high school senior portrait session. Since she was the first I agreed to do some free stuff for her in exchange for her being a representative of sorts. She tells all her friends . . . and even her enemies . . . that I was her photographer. My plan is to order up a bunch of business card sized prints with her image and my contact info on them for her to hand out to every person she ever talks to for the rest of her life. Just kidding about the rest of her life part.

So, this is where I need your opinions. Which one of the following images should I use? Why?

-dana

(**Yes. I'm actually considering putting the word "may" in each post title for the entire month of May. No. I don't know why)

Dana, Your daughter is a beautiful young woman. I think you should use the first picture.

I like the 2nd and 3rd pictures the best. I think the 2nd is what most kids want in their picture so it would be a good sample. The 3rd one shows that you are willing to stretch and do some different shots. Nice work!

My favorite is the 1st one for sure, then I would say the the 4th pic is my 2nd favorite.. oh how to choose!! They are all lovely though.. Enjoy!

really like the senior pics, i like 2,4,5, they're all amazing photos

What a beautiful young lady, and so photogenic!!! Of course the photographer is good too!!!!

OK I like the last 2(#4 & 5) the most. #4 is original in my view, with that winning smile. Number 5 she is relaxed, and the light/dark is well done. With a maybe for number 2.

Number 3 is interesting but we can't see her face enough. Maybe cropping it a bit????

Hope this helps!!!

Maybe you could print a few different ones.....

They are all really great! (Much better than my senior pictures for sure!!) My favorites are #3 and #4 because they are so different than the "standard" senior picture.

You can't go wrong with any of them!! Just beautiful :)

I like 3 and 4, too. My $0.02. :)

WOw, I like them all but I think the last one is the best for a business card (well, in my opinion :)

the last one is best for a business card because you could add text around and it will not look too busy...all are beautiful though!

Beautiful shots. I think you should use 3 or 4. Good luck and take care, Cory

I like number 2 the best. It's a close shot like most senior portraits, but not too close.

I think number 3 could be interesting for a business card use, but isn't necessarily the "typical" senior portrait for a small handing out size.

I think number 1 is too close for use as a business card.

I don't like number 4 for advertisement because most seniors would be going for a picture where they're looking at the camera.

Number 5 is fine, but I don't like that you lose the right side of her face in the shadows (left side as you're looking at it.

I like #4...but they are all great!

I'm stuck - they are all great! How about 2 or 5 they stuck out to me first!

I'm for 3 & 4 - kind of "non-standard" - but they're all great!

Being from Denmark, I have no idea what senior photos usually look like, but I like tha first and last photo the best. I don't know the young lady, but there is a lot of personality shining through in those two shots -I think!

I like #2 & 3 the best. Those shots look the most unique and orginal.

I like #2 best and #5 next. #2 has unique shading and is a beautiful shot. You could put white printing in the black section on the right.

i like the last one best.

One and four. One is fresh and clean, four is unique. Some of the others look like more "typical" senior pictures...they are wonderful, but I think most kids are looking for something NOT like everyone else.

I think the first one would be the best for a business card...the image is very simple and strong. Photography wise, I love them all...you are VERY talented.

Number 3 or number four from the top would be my suggestion! She is beautiful!

I think you should use number 2. Not only is it a great picture, but that black on the right would be a great place to put your name and contact information. Something in a styalized white print.

Thanks so much for the sweet comment about my scrap quilt. I'm proud of this one even though I still have LOTS to learn.

Photo #3 works for me. I can totally see that one on a business card. Very professional, and love the background too. Good luck with your photo business!

#2 and #5 are my favorites for business cards - I think the lighting/shadows is what attracts me to them. #4 is also a beautiful shot, but I like to see the eyes. If this were my daughter, I would have a hard time choosing! You have my dream job - great photos.

All of them are great, but my favorite is the 2nd one down. My daughter in law is a photographer also and I love looking through her proofs.

3rd or 4th for sure

For what it's worth, I like #5. :)
Great photos!

The bottom photo - definitely! The subject is off center - that lends interest first of all. And the windowpanes being out of focus, along with the brick wall and the lacy top she is wearing all seem to go together to give it a feeling of nostalgia. Good luck with your decision!

2nd from the last. For shizzle my nizzle. *B

The last one would work best for a business card, but they are all exceptional. Your daughter is very lovely.

I also think the fifth photo would be best for a business card. They are all lovely, though!

Renna said...

They're all fantastic and it was almost impossible to choose one over the others. I seriously think any would work, but if I had to choose just one it would be the bottom one....or maybe the next to the last one....no wait, the one where she's walking away....ARG. I can't do it. I cannot choose just one!

Lene said...

Choose just one? Nope. Can't. I really like the 1st and the 4th. They are all wonderful.

Linda said...

This is HARD cuz they're all so good. Ok, if I had to choose, I'd go with #2 or #5 ....Beautiful girl and beatiful work! Hugs, Linda

definitely the 2nd and 3rd!! the second because it is very flattering and the lighting and shawdows really accentuate her hair and face, and the 3rd because it's just so darn cute and playful!

I agree with everyone :) and I like No 2 - It's totally beautiful.
