A tour of the kitchen may be fun

I thought it would be fun to show you my new kitchen in a before-and-after style. The first photo will always be what that area of the kitchen was like before . . . and the following photo (sometimes there will be more then one) will show what that area is like now.

Da-da-daaaah! Drum roll please.

Those bare creamy walls will soon have 5 vintage seed packets adorning them. First I have to scan the seed packet image into my computer. Then, I'll use Photoshop to enlarge them to 11x14. Then, I'll have them printed and mounted on 3/4" standout board. There will be 3 on the wall directly behind the table and 2 on the adjoining wall. Won't that be perfect? I knew you'd agree. Afterall you have such good taste.

So there you have it. My new kitchen.

I love my house.

Wow it's wonderful! You all did great work! My mom used to have red step stool like yours in the last photo...I wonder if someplace still sells them?

Amazing what white paint can do, isn't it?

...and the new cabinets look fantastic. Our kitchen was brand new when we moved in but not exactly my style. Now, I'm sooo itching to remodel!

Oh it turned out so charming! I love the red ceiling, the cook book shelf, the lighting must be a thrill, and I am so glad you kept the pot rack, I love pot racks! Well done, you must be so pleased with the transformation. it's so great when people decorate for themselves and really let their homes speak about what kind of people they are. Simply love it!

Nice redo! We redid our K three years ago and I, too, love my house. I love my kitchen. But I can't say it has made me love cooking. LOL

Beautiful!!!!

I have a question about your cabinets. Are they laminate that you painted -- or wood? We have the same exact style, in laminate, with slightly different handles, and I so want to modernize them. Yours turned out great.

Love to the girls, they have a place on my mantle so I can look at them daily.
