Race results and missed videos

Razor completed the adventure race and it will be a few days before he knows the official results. There are so many variables in determining the final rankings that it takes the race directors several days to sort it all out. But, he is done. He is safe and he is tired. Guess I'll have to do some chores alone.

Now, I have almost fully recovered from the quilt giveaway insanity that occupied every waking (and sleeping) thought for a week or more. However, there are still two videos that I need to share with you. These videos came in on the last day of the contest and for some reason or another I had trouble finding them on YouTube. But, the video makers had emailed me and I knew they were there so they each still earned their 50 extra chances at winning the quilt. I still want you to see them so here you go.

First is this cute little girl singing about moving to California and wanting the quilt. I've tried to get contact information from the silly willies that made it but don't know who, what, where. (If this is yours and want me to link to you email me at dana@oldredbarnco.com)

Then there is the hilarious one from Michelle and it had me giggling the entire time. I especially love the not-so-off camera direction from mom.

So, the whole video thing for extra entries in the quilt giveaway contest was a real hoot. Do you think I should do it again when I give away another quilt?

I think the video thing was AWESOME. Although, I felt it hard to compete with the families promoting Love Without Boundaries...I cried watching their videos! I wanted to put my own video up, but was a bit intimidated by the technical aspects of it all. My husband posts videos to Meta Cafe and Utube all the time, so he promised to help me next time. I say GO FOR IT!!! It was so much fun!

I say do it again and make the same quilt and give it to me! Really though, I was sad to have not won, but we can still be friends.

I was wondering if you are thinking about sharing the pattern you used/made for that quilt. I really love it and want to make it. I love how the blocks were side by side without any sashing. And the fabrics, oh, the fabrics. I'm off to order some right now...

I think it was great fun! You talk like you have plans already for the next one! I cannot imagine the chaos :) Did you see the tote basket with farmers market fabric at fat quarter shop??? So cute, but costly of course. . .
