Now showing on the world wide web

The video portion of my Associated Press profile story is popping up on the web. This embed is from U.S. News & World Report but if you Google me you'll find me elsewhere too.

The print story will hit AP outlets on Friday, October 10th. Same deal. Just Google me and you'll find it.

Eeeeekkkkk!!!

And, since I seem to be all about shameless self promotion here today I thought I would also point you to a recent feature in a quilting industry newsletter. SuzGuz Designs featured me and my company, Old Red Barn Co., in their September newsletter. Check it out. Or not. But do check out SuzGuz Designs as Susan herself has designed and made a quilt to be given away here sometime in the next few weeks.

The quilt is amazing and you won't be disappointed. The only one who will be disappointed will be me when I'm boxing it up and shipping it off to one lucky winner.

Dude, I'm off to Google myself again.

Very nice interview Dana. My husband is from Rosman, NC. I haven't been to your part of NC, but the next time I make it back there I'll have to check it out. Congratulations on your media exposure.

So very fun Dana. I started recycling hard core around our hose a little over a year ago. It helps me to really think before I buy anything. I ask myself a few key questions, first and foremost do I Need this, can I repurpose the item when we are done with it, can it be recycled, can it be passed to someone else who might need it. I wish I could go total earth chick but I know its baby steps to get to that point. I am really excited to try my hand at gardening for the very first time next spring. You so totally rock dude!(to be said like the turtle in Finding Nemo)

Hi, I wanted to tell you that your kitchen table is the table of my childhood memories. Well a look alike anyway. It was funny to see it in your blog. We use to do our math problems on it and then wipe it off with a wash cloth. lol

Excellent video, Dana. You look like a natural in front of that camera. We have recycled for years. My town started curbside recycling many years ago. Just recently we stopped using plastic bags and purchasing bottled water.

I'm officially "de-lurking". I've discovered your blog a couple weeks ago and quickly added it to my favs. This video is SO cool, how fun to add "famous video star" to your list of accomplishments. I love your message. I think Americans are slowly but surely becoming more aware of how important it is to think of our planet and make changes in our individual lives. Thanks for the inspiration. Go Obama! :)

Dear Dana,

Congratulations on your news coverage. I have loved your blog and visit often. I too love this earth and this nation. I remember it is by the grace of God we are here. He formed this planet and this country. We need to respect that fact and honor him. I too will go green but because of Him and not "mother earth".

I do not agree with you politically and will pray for you and all others in this election. Look at who is best for our country and not "mother Earth".

GOD bless America and the Earth HE created. May we all remember HIM.

Thanks for the link to Suz's newsletter. Inside there was a 35mm slide converter mentioned and I just had to forward that link to my Dad. A lot of the old photos he has (and I have a precious few too) are on these 35mm slides and would love to get them converted to a digital format.

I can't wait to see the quilt and have a chance to win it!
