My quilt is back from my long arm quilter
Russ and I'm over the moon in love with it.
Late last summer I designed some fabric and had it printed at
Spoonflower. I've decided that every quilt I make in 2009 will have a bit of it on the back. Then each year I'll design a new fabric so as to identify the year I made it. Know what I'm sayin'?
I've got a series of fabric in my head to design . . . if I could only figure out how to make the seamless repeat on it. Unfortunately, that is at the way, way bottom of my to-do list.

it is just happiness in a blanket! and that is such a cool "signature." you are just incredible!!!
What a great idea to chronicle your work! Brilliant.
The quilt is every bit of over the moon. I need 'Dana' lessons. I did find the pattern I am going to use for my first quilt attempt since acquiring my sewing machine. I can't wait.
I love this quilt, especially your signature fabric, I love that idea!
LOVE this Dana! Those pinwheels with the fussy cut corners - bliss! and of course the signature on the back is ingenious - will there be anything more to a label?
Gorgeous!! I think this is my favorite one yet.
That is amazing. I just made my second quilt, and decided I would never do it again. And it was baby sized.
Now I have to go try it out again! Curses!
No wonder you're in love with it-I love it too!! And I see you've been keeping secrets from me-who knew you designed your own fabric! You are so cool!
What an awesome quilt Dana. I love the idea of a fabric signature. Such a unique idea.
Amazing....and so cool to have your own signature.
Gorgeous quilt, as usual.
Check out my blog-there's an award for you!
Dana

Amazing!! I busted out my granny's sewing machine the other day instead of buying myself a brand new one. You know, since I don't even know how to thread the darn thing....
What an awesome quilt! You amaze me!!!!
Beautiful. Just beautiful. I love your idea of identifying each quilt's year by your own fabric. In the words of Yoda, "So clever are you!"
It's gorgeous Dana! Love it. Mean it!
Wow! It makes it feel like summer. Love the bright colors.
Love it. I need a friend close-by who can do my quilting.
I *love* it! And I love the quirkiness of putting in a piece of fabric that doesn't "go" with it. What a great way to chronicle your fabric!
How many quilts do you own?
How many do you think you have made?
Fantastic!
Great idea with the fabric.
What a cool thing to do--print your own fabric design! I've never heard of them before. Thanks for sharing that.
And a terrific idea about chronicling. Should, God forbid, anything of yours ever be stolen, it would be a cinch to identify it and reclaim it.
Very, very beautiful :)
simply gorgeous! looks like it's from anthropologie!
This is SO incredible...I wish I were as crafty as you!
It's scrumptious!
Incredible! I love all the happy colors. Your signature is so creative.
How fun is that!
Ok, here goes, incredible, fabulous, amazing, scrumptious, beautiful, fantastic, awesome, cheery, ingenious, creative, over the moon, happiness in a blanket, and let me add; the bomb.
You rock Dana.

Man, you really know your stuff! Amazing as usual! Love the signature fabric square. You keep outdoing yourself, I look forward to seeing the next adventure! Beautiful work Dana, snuggle it to death! -Tonya
Super awesome quilt. Oh the possibilities with printing fabric.
took me awhile to catch up on all the posts i've missed...missed this quilt from start to finish! fab work, dana. i can see why you love it. is your heart back in its rightful place? when your kids are in an accident...injuries or not, it's so scary. i know it took a long time for me to settle back down after jon's accident. take good care!
