Woodsy

I have a thing for woodsy things. Think acorns, owls and deer.

And wild mushrooms.

What is it about these mysterious little fungi?

I find them so dang cute. And not just in nature either. I have a small collection of mushroom fabric waiting to be made into something.

Aaacccckkkk!!! My most favoritest mushroom is the red capped one with white spots. And I was lucky enough to see one this weekend.

I'm a simple girl really.

Mushrooms are intriguing. I love baby bellas. I didn't know that red ones with white spots really existed! So cute.

Those pictures are great. Is is strange that I've never seen a _real_ red and white mushroom before? I think that I assumed they were just made up for cartoons (no idea why).
Enjoy your nature walk and your fabric :)

Oh these are such great shots. I have never seen a live red capped mushroom, that picture is great. I wonder if we will be seeing a mushroom quilt from you soon!

I grew up with what I though at the time was the ugliest mushroom wallpaper in our diningroom with plastic mushroom decorations hanging on the wall.My mom loved it. Now days I look back very fondly on all thinks mushroom. Isn't that funny how our perspectives can change over the years?

Your mushroom pictures are very beautiful.

Oh, honey. We're right there with ya. We have a whole book of mushroom pics that we've taken... dedicated ONLY to mushrooms. They are amazing because they come and go so quickly. Simple is my kind of girl.

There is something about acorns that appeals to me. And red capped mushrooms. Make sure to show us the mushroom project.

I've got a thing for acorns myself. I am loving that yellow fungi too though.

I thought those red and white ones were imaginary! Then again, here in SoCal, it's never wet enough for mushrooms to grow. Thanks for sharing yours.

I'm with the rest of the group--I thought the red and white were illustrators' imaginations! How wonderful to see it IRL. Thanks for sharing your great photos.

Wow! That's quite a variety of local wild mushrooms! All we have is that crazy neon yellow foam that seems to grow out of the ground. Lucky you!
