Last year I started making an effort an
organizing all my
fabric scraps.
And that method has been
very useful for me.
But recently I received a little note in the mail from my friend
Amy, and it inspired me.
It inspired me so much that I made my own. And I think these will be good anytime of the year . . . especially for Valentine's Day.
Too bad I really suck at formal written correspondence.

PS -- I suck at formal correspondence too!
What a great idea! I can't wait to make some. Formal written correspondence may have to make a comeback!
These are so cute. I guess I should stop tossing scraps from my scraps because I think they are too small. I just love these.
Those are beautiful! A wonderful scrap idea. Not so good at written correspondence either. Just at bill paying.
what a great idea, too bad I just threw out all my tiny tiny scraps yesterday.
Ooh I'm going to try this with all my itty bitty scraps! I love receiving cards so I'm trying to make an effort to sending out more.
What a great idea especially if you've ever found yourself without a card {I tend to have this happen alot}. Thank you for the idea
Carolyn
Too cute... so nice that you don't have to write much in them :)
love your cards, dana!
oh, I love these too now that I've seen them all over the web. However, just like you, I'm horrible at formal correspondence. Maybe this will help me improve.
Those cards are so fun! I sewed my Christmas cards this year - it was so simple, I used up a bunch of scraps and they turned out cute.
I love making those and they are such fun to receive.
Dana, yours are so stinkin cute! Especially the first with LOVE on it! Cute, cute!
Those are such cute cards, I think I may have to make a few soon too!
With cards that cute all you would have to do is sign your name...oh, but then the stamps and the envelopes and the post office. Nevermind.
Those are gorgeous!!
So cute - and I have been doing the same thing (organizing my scraps)!
These are simply adorable!
I'm rotten at writing notes, too.
Oooooh, I love making cards, mostly stamping, but these are quite adorable!! Thanks for the brilliant ideas!!
love these. brilliant!
I know snail mail is a pain......but it is a great skill to develop with
your girls. I use to sit with my kids for hours and we would write thank you notes, Valentines, make Christmas cards...great fun!
And who does not like to get a piece of personal mail???
Happy Sewing (and writing)
they look beautiful!
You should sell them if you're too disinclined to correspond. :-) They're really beautiful, Dana.
Yep, love it. Thanks to you and Amy for the great idea. inspirational beings you.
PS- just found some great fabric and may have to have another go at the railfence. Michael Miller Earth
I LOVE these. I am with you and SUCK at correspondence. Ever since I had kids I threw snail mail to the curb, but ilove getting mail.
I love themt too. I think it totally helps that you have just about the cutest fabric scraps too.
Thanks to you Dana and Amy for the great idea! I hate throwing those little scraps of my FAV fabric. Now I'll share it.
Hey Dana!
I've sent a few e-mails but i think I'm ending up in your spam folder again, can you e-mail me?
Thanks
Canela
I love these cards! What a great and simple way to use up fun little scraps!
I love love love these .
Those are absolutely lovely!!!
I am now kicking myself for throwing out the teensiest bits.... These are adorable. That Amy is always up to something clever!
oh, I love doing this too! I iron some pellon on my scraps, for even more texture. Esp. love that aqua fmf one.
I am not a good card sender either, but I love this idea! Thank you for sharing it...
These are so fantastic! I have trouble throwing away even the tiniest scrap of fabric, and have been feeling the need to reach out to some of my friends lately, so this absolutely warms my heart! I hope you don't mind if I copy your (and Amy's) idea!
The cards are SO BEAUTIFUL!
What a great way to use up the really small fabric scraps you end up with.will definately give it a go.
Happy quilting.
