Snow days = much crafting

Today is day four of no school due to weather.  We've been busy making.

Making gifts.

Making little quilts out of thrifted sweaters.

Making sugar cookies.

And making lazy.

P.S.  I'm planning a giveaway to start tomorrow.  Something here.  Something else here.  And even something else here.  Hope you join me.

Oh a snow day would be fun...no matter how much snow we get, we still have school!

Aw, these little mini quilts from thrifted sweaters are SO adorable! I love the little scenes with all the whimsical colors. Of course, the polka dot binding is icing on the cake! Have fun with the cookie baking too.

BTW, are you getting dumped on with snow that you've had FOUR snow days? Crazy!

Lucky!!! The weather here has been awful, but they NEVER close the schools!

Looks like you made the best of the days. Love your craft ideas. I think I'll make sugar cookies tonight - you've inspired me, and I have new snowflake cookie cutters!

Have a great snow day :)

Looks like you have been having fun, the funny thing is that we probably woke up to more snow Tuesday morning than you have total :) No snow days here :)
And what a good Dad to build such an awesome snow fort!

The sweater quilts are SO CUTE! We are wishing and hoping for a snow day.

The thrifted sweater minis are squealable! Snow days never happen here but once school was cancelled due to flooding, a million years ago.

The mini quilts are darling. What a clever idea!

Living in Texas, we don't get many snow days (rarely ever), but still I have good memories of times spent with my daughter when she was young, baking and crafting. :-)

How fun! Can I come have a snow day at your house?

brown robin said...

I know. I know! I can tell that the temps have dropped cause our house is littered in craft projects. There's a trail or projects from room to room. I should write a post about it, but I've been too busy with kids. School? I don't recall that word in my vocab. Can you ask your girls if we can rip off and duplicate those adorable designs? Pretty please?!
